I was asked by my father in law, to keep my mother in law until her death back in 2016! In 2017 a plot of land was given to my wife for keeping and caring for her mother, by her mother. My wife’s sister moved into the old house on that property, and is trying to force us to sign it over to her! She has sense made up stories of infidelity of my wife, trying to tell my wife I have been married a number of times before, telling everyone around that I’m a pediphile, because I married my wife at the age of 17 and I was 32 at the request of both her parents! Wife co signed on this girls car loan. .Her mother shows telling my wife there’s only 10 more payments left on contract but she wants to bail on us. S this senior financial abuse

One year ago I agreed only to cosign for my son on a apt for one year the lease expired in Oct 2024 I had given a 60 day notice in Aug 31st 2024 to remove my name from the lease they did not honor my request and it converted to a month to month situation so I gave them a 30 day notice to take me off the month to month lease was put in end of Nov 2024 to be effective DEc 31st 2024 they say they never received either notice. I am in my 70 s on social security and retired now with only social security income. My son is 47 yrs old and refuses to work full time the apt complex says I am responsible for the rent what are my rights? Is this senior financial abuse from the apt complex? I live in colorado, can we get help? We tried legal aid they said they can not help when the party still residing in the apt would be displaced? My husband and I are both on social security income only please note I have never lived in the apt my son does not pay any rent and refuses to do so. Can you help or at least advise us if we have rights as seniors
